They are well made, but sound awful.
Value:
Spend a little more and buy the Sony 700’s if you want true sounding headphones!
Desirability:
I received a pair from the factory. I tried them out against a pair of Sony 700’s. Hands down, the Sony 700’s sounded better across the board! Several band/crew members tried them out too. Nobody liked the sound of the HD-280’s.
Sound:
Weak low end, fake midrange, paint peeling highs... just awful sound quality. The people who are raving about these headphones should try the Sonys.
