Hartke VX410 Bass Cabinet (400 Watts, 4x10 in )

Product details

Product description

Hartke has been redefining the sound of bass guitar since the early 1980’s. Their revolutionary aluminum-cone bass drivers and breakthrough cabinet designs were the first to combine an open-ended, articulate response with a fast attack and punchy bottom end.

Feature:
This cab has nothing but two 1/4 inputs on the back. No Speakons, no tweeter control, etc.

Quality:
Didn’t feel very solid. The jack plate was plastic and it had an overall cheap feel to it.

Value:
What you pay for is what you get.

Desirability:
Don’t ever want another one. It does look rather perty though.

Sound:
I thought this cab was all that because it was my first "big rig." But now I moved up to an SWR rig and this is way weak by comparison. It just didn’t have any punch or articulation. But I was using it with a Behringer BX3000T head which may have contributed to my opinion of this cab. I think it would be good for any lower volume music like jazz or light rock. BUt if your band is loud or you need to compete with two guitarists, this isn’t the one for you.

Support:
Never dealt.

Overall:
Totally average cabinet. It’s a good first cab for someone just stepping up to a larger rig from a combo. But once you start playing through some different cabs and amps this one will fall by the wayside quick.
