Clavia Nord Electro Keyboard (73-Key)

Product details

Product description

Clavia’s goal when developing the Nord Electro was to create the best emulations of traditional electromechanical keyboard instruments on the market, and to make the instrument compact and lightweight. Nothing else. No brass banks, no orchestral sounds. No compromises.

Feature:
Does not include pedals... get a sustain and expression pedal. Could use a built-in reverb, too. On the other hand, with the excellent on-board effects it replaces a bunch of other junk & cords.

Quality:
Seems to be built like a tank... which is amazing for a keyboard this small (I have the 61) and light (I can take it on my scooter & put it on the stand with one hand).

Value:
It is pricey... but ripping an nasty Deep Purple style organ solo from a kb this small... priceless.

Desirability:
I’d just have to get another one if this one got stolen... maybe after I checked out the Nord Stage (when it comes out).

Sound:
B3 is to die for... leslie & overdrive effects bring it to life. Rhodes, Wurly, and Clav are perfect, especially with effects section. Piano is thin... but I have a piano kb.

Support:
No experience.

Overall:
I guess I’m a bit of a gear head... I was looking for the smallest, best sounding kb I could find. I’m sure something will eventually come along to knock this baby off it’s perch.
